This is my brand identity development, as in order to progress and design the product I feel a strong brand identity would help. The top logo is a simple type and maple leaf arrangement, very obvious and looks very similar to the current visit canada campaign. Below that is a stylized leaf/ type arrangement, I have decided to name my brand as the french for 'visit canada' as Canada is a francophone country; also the french sounds more exotic and cultured than the english. I like the bottom design as it includes the soft leaf edges, but I may try the stylized version with the full leaf, as the sharp corners work better at large and small scale. In scale terms I am thinking of letterhead vs building signage etc.
This is my currently finished brand identity, it's bold, striking and memorable. Featuring predominantly colours of the canadian flag these are the colours that everyone would associate with the country, so it's message is very clear.
I made this logo for the promotional video I created. Although striking and bold it is a little plain and simple. Therefore I think I will stick with my current logo.
